Mathieu Girard is a health professional who uses his hands and knowledge to determine the root of the symptoms. His goal is to solve the problem in an effective and durable way using the different techniques of physiotherapy and osteopathy.
After graduating from the Cégep de Chicoutimi Physical Rehabilitation Therapist program in 1995, Mathieu developed a keen interest in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. A few years later, he improved his approach by obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa.
In 2004, he joined the team of the Hull Center for Manual and Osteopathic Therapies. He became co-owner of the clinic the following year.
In 2011, Mathieu bought the clinic and moved it to a beautiful building on St-Raymond Boulevard in Gatineau. Now known as the Centre TMO (Manual and Osteopathic Therapies), the clinic now offers massage therapy services, in addition to physiotherapy and osteopathy.
On a perpetual quest for improvement, Mathieu studied osteopathy at the Osteopathic Center of Quebec in Montreal, where he obtained his osteopath diploma after following 6 years of training.
Over the years, Mathieu Girard has taken several post-graduate courses in advanced manual therapies, neuro-proprioceptive tapping, running injuries, positional vertigo, shoulder injuries, and much more.

Liam Dessureault earned his degree in physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2002. He also obtained a master’s degree in Human Kinetics in 2008 focusing his research on changes in the neuromuscular system in response to pain. In addition, Liam has obtained several certificates in manual therapy for the treatment of limb and spinal conditions from Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Finally, Liam has post-graduate training in “Mechanical Diagnosis Therapy” from the McKenzie Institute. With this training background, he brilliantly treats injurie s and pain among sedentary and competitive athletes.
His extensive knowledge of neuro-musculoskeletal function and his passion for patient care and rehabilitation led him to mentor physical therapy students and be a lecturer at the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of ‘Ottawa. In 2008, Liam began providing clinical expertise and training across Canada for the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). Until 2021, Liam worked at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, where he oversaw postgraduate medical education programs. Liam, fully bilingual, is licensed with both the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and Québec.
His treatment strategies include patient-centered education, specialized hands-on mobilization and movement training, taping, strengthening, and stretching as part of a home-based program. His most recent clinical interest is in the rehabilitation of the hip, and vestibular system for the treatment of vertigo and dizziness.
Passionate about sports, in 2007, Anik Laflamme finished a degree in kinesiology specialized in sports supervision from the University of Sherbrooke. Her main interest is the treatment of sports injuries which led her to pursue training as an orthotherapy technician at the Academy of Massage and Orthotherapy in 2008.
Anik completed her master’s degree in physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa in 2010. A member in good standing of the Professional Order of Physiotherapy of Quebec, she subsequently completed a continuing education course, the A-Lumbar Spine Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from McKenzie Institute. She also trained as NCCP Youth Soccer Coach in 2004 and 2006, which allowed her to coach soccer teams.
Since 2010, Anik Laflamme has been part of the Centre TMO team. The Nautilus Plus Fitness Center in Hull also benefits from her kinesiology skills as she works there as a Level 2 personal trainer.
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that Manon has joined the team of the Centre de Thérapies Manuelles et Ostéopathiques (TMO). Manon has a kinesthetic memory. She learns through action and movement. She discovers, explores and retains through the practical experience of touch.
The expression “a healthy mind in a healthy body” is her motto. She recognizes the value and importance of a healthy and balanced life.
Interested in biology and anatomy, she is fascinated by the functioning of the human body and its systems. This interest led her to study manual therapy. She is a qualified in ortho-massage and hydrotherapy since 2001.

Joanie discovered osteopathy in order to treat her own injuries from years of training as a volleyball player. After her career with the uOttawa Gee-Gees, Joanie turned to yoga to help her body recover and regain balance after many years of hard training and injury.
Certified yoga teacher since 2013, ELDOA (Longitudinal Stretching with Osteo-Articular Decoaptation) teacher since 2015 and integral nutrition coach, Joanie finally began her studies in osteopathy in 2015.
Now a mother of 4 little boys, she obtained her diploma in the summer of 2023. Having completed all the practical and theoretical parts of the osteopath course, Joanie combines all her different knowledge in her therapeutic approach for the youngest and the oldest.
